The UK is going through the worst financial crisis in years. The government seems to have lost complete control of the country's economy. British pound has fallen to the lowest level as against US dollar, while its bonds are plummeting.  The UK government announced this Friday - "Mini Budget" - 45 billion pound of unfunded tax cuts. Supreme Court of India has ruled in favor of all women who wish to get an abortion, irrespective of their marital status. The ruling clarifies all the doubts concerning 2021 amendments in the abortion law which did not clearly mention single women in the list of groups. The plea was made to include single women as well. The court is of the opinion that excluding an unmarried woman who has been in a consensual relationship cannot be considered constitutional. Although abortion has been legal in India since 1971, but due to the abortion of millions of female fetuses across the country, authorities made stringent rules against the process. In 2021, the Indian government amended the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, which allowed several groups of women for abortion, but did not clearly mention anything about single women.  As per the act, women for genuine reasons such as rape, minors, mental disabilities, etc. could go for abortion within 24 weeks of pregnancy. Hurricane Ian, which hit US on Wednesday, is one of the most dangerous storms in years flooding the Florida coast and leaving millions of houses and businesses stranded without power supply. Residents were asked to leave their houses and warned that strong winds and heavy rains to last last throughout the night. However, the citizens decided to find shelter indoor.   Due to heavy flooding, the streets appear to have turned into rivers. A curfew has been declared until situation normalizes. In the reshuffle of the cabinet, the three sons of the King of Saudi Arabia have been given important positions in the Cabinet. The de facto ruler, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been appointed as the new Prime Minister of the kingdom. In a recent boat accident in northern Bangladesh, the death toll has risen to 68 as reported by officials. The boat was carrying more than 150 people, as per the eyewitnesses. One of the main causes of the accident was overcrowding.   On Sunday, the boat was carrying Hindu devotees to a centuries-old temple when it capsized in Korotoa river in the northwestern Panchagarh district. The devotees had headed towards Bodeshwari temple on the occasion of Mahalaya, which heralds the auspicious arrival of Goddess Durga and the 10-days celebration of Durga Puja. As the rescue operation by local authorities is still on, dead bodies are being recovered everyday. On Tuesday around 18 bodies were recovered from Debiganj and Boda upazilas in Panchagarh and Atrai river in Dinajpur, as reported by the local media. A gunman has killed over 13 people while injuring around 21 others at a Russian school, Izhevsk. In the open fire, seven of around 1000 children were killed.  The gunman also killed two security guards and two teachers as reported by Russian officials. After committing the crime, the shooter has reportedly killed himself, leaving everyone clueless about his motives. Although unidentified, he was wearing black t-shirt with Nazi symbols. All the students and staff members have been evacuated from the premises of the school buildings. The local authorities have announced a mourning period till September 29.   Although, such incidents are quite common in US, it is not so in Russia. Sanders was known for spiritual jazz music as he drew inspiration from Karma and Tawhid. Sanders was a member of John Coltrane's groups in mid-1960s, in which he played saxophone and used techniques such as overblowing, harmonic, and multiphonic. He has also collaborated with Leon Thomas and Alice Coltrane. He has released over 30 albums as a leader.    Sanders, originally known as Farrell Sanders, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 13, 1940. He began sis professional career as a tenor saxophone player in Oakland and later moved to New York City. The anti-hijab protests in Iran  caused by the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, has now spread to over 80 cities in the country.  The protesters have been burning their hijabs and scarves in a bonfire and setting billboards with the image of supreme leaders on fire. There have been clashes between groups of protesters and security forces. An NGO claims that the security forces have already killed more than 50 people.  On the other hand, different groups in of support of the Iranian government have come out on streets with rallies. Unification Church, that came into limelight after the murder of the former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, has accepted that it took a huge donation from the suspect's mother. The suspect had cited the reason for assassinating the former PM as latter's connection with the church. The suspect blamed the church for his bankruptcy due to his mother donating all their savings along with life insurance and real estate. She had donated around US$ 700,000. Although, the church explained that it had later returned half of the amount at the request of suspect's uncle. The church is now planning to reform its donation policy to ensure that no one is forced to make any donation. It is believed that over half of the lawmakers of ruling Liberal Democratic party in Japan had ties with Unification Church, which might have influenced the decision making at national level. The recent announcement of partial mobilization by Russian President Vladimir Putin has led to a large protests in the country. People have taken to streets, demanding for the reversal of the order. Hundreds have been arrested all over the country. However, the parliament has supported Putin's plan on mobilization. Panic and chaos have created disorder in Russian cities. The jailed main opponent of Putin, Alexei Navalny said in a video statement during his court case, "This will result in a massive tragedy, in a massive amount of deaths." He further added, "In order to keep his personal power, Putin is tormenting a neighbouring country, killed people there and now is sending a huge quantity of Russian citizens into this war." One of the India's greatest comic and mimicry artists, Raju Srivastava (originally, Satya Prakash Srivastava), finally gave up the battle for life on September 21 after being on ventilator for 41 days in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He was rushed to the hospital on August 10 after he suffered a massive heart attack while working out in a gym. The whole nation is mourning his death as he had touched the hearts of every Indian through his comedy, laughter and positivity. As per the reports, his body will be cremated in New Delhi. He is survived by his wife and two children. Raju was born on December 25, 1963 in Kanpur, UP, India. Recently, Iranian women protested against wearing Hijab in Iran. They removed the black dress in public. Angry protesters brought down the national flag. The trouble began after the death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian woman who was arrested by the morality police.   The angry women removed their mandatory headscarves in the capital city, Tehran.   A group of Muslims vandalised a Hindu place of worship in Leicester, UK. In the last couple of days, the country has been witnessing, a large scale and serious disorder due to the clashes between groups of Hindus and Muslims mainly in East Leicester.  The matter took an extreme turn when some Muslims vandalised a flag of Hinduism and a Hindu place of worship.
