Russia has announced that it will participate in the Black Sea grain initiative that was brokered in July by the UN and Ukraine to ease the global food shortages and the price hike. Russia had withdrawn from the deal after accusing Ukraine for attacking Black Sea Fleet in Crimea.  UN  Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warmly welcomed Russia decision to end suspension from Ukraine grain deal. India has increased its purchase of crude oil from Canada. This new development is the result of the price drop in the Canadian oil price. Over 3 million barrels of crude grade produced in oil sand of Alberta will be arriving in India next month. Canada has come up with the widest discount on crude oil price in nearly four years. The decline in the price is believed to have been caused by the lesser demand from the US Midwest. India saw this as an opportunity to take advantage of the situation amidst Western sanctions against Russian crude oil, which expected to be tightened further in few weeks. In light of tightening wester sanctions, some Indian refineries have put on hold the purchases on Russian crude oil for time being. Nissan Motor Co Ltd, the Japanese automaker, will transfer its share in Nissan Manufacturing Russia LLC to state-owned NAMI for just 1 euro - a loss of   around US$ 687 million. As per the local media, the company's partner  Mitsubishi Motors is also considering its exit from Russia.  While Toyota had earlier spoken about leaving the country, Mazda Motor was in talks with its local partner Sollers to end its production. Nissan's exit from the Russian market makes it a major global company to leave the country after the war broke out in February this year. In May, the French automaker Renault, 43% shareholder in Nissan, had sold majority of its stake in state-owned automobile manufacturer  Avtovaz to a Russian investor.  Russian industry and trade ministry said that Nissan will have the right, as part of the deal, to buy back the shares within six years. Saturday morning, the parallel rail-road Kerch bridges connecting Russia and Crimea were blown up by a massive explosion. The bridges are considered strategic and crucial to the supply-chain between both the sides. Moscow was also using it to send war equipment and military troops to attack north Kherson of Ukraine.   Russia has blamed a truck bomb attack for the damage. While Ukraine said that it is just the beginning. However, it is believed that the explosion was caused by a fuel tanker blast.  The local security video footage shows railway carriages and part of the rail bridge engulfed in flames. Part of road bridge collapsed due to the impact of the explosion.  The kerch bridges are the only rail-road link between Russia and Crimea. A gunman has killed over 13 people while injuring around 21 others at a Russian school, Izhevsk. In the open fire, seven of around 1000 children were killed.  The gunman also killed two security guards and two teachers as reported by Russian officials. After committing the crime, the shooter has reportedly killed himself, leaving everyone clueless about his motives. Although unidentified, he was wearing black t-shirt with Nazi symbols. All the students and staff members have been evacuated from the premises of the school buildings. The local authorities have announced a mourning period till September 29.   Although, such incidents are quite common in US, it is not so in Russia. The recent announcement of partial mobilization by Russian President Vladimir Putin has led to a large protests in the country. People have taken to streets, demanding for the reversal of the order. Hundreds have been arrested all over the country. However, the parliament has supported Putin's plan on mobilization. Panic and chaos have created disorder in Russian cities. The jailed main opponent of Putin, Alexei Navalny said in a video statement during his court case, "This will result in a massive tragedy, in a massive amount of deaths." He further added, "In order to keep his personal power, Putin is tormenting a neighbouring country, killed people there and now is sending a huge quantity of Russian citizens into this war." On saturday, nearly over 70 thousand people thronged at Wenceslas Square in Prague, the Czech Republic to protest against the rising inflation and energy prices in the country. The protesters are demanding the government to control gas and electricity prices and ensure direct contracts with gas suppliers including Russia. They also opposed European Union and NATO, while voicing that Czech must be neutral militarily. The protesters demanded that the Prime Minister Petr Fiala must resign from the post, condemning his coalition government for its western-oriented policies and number of other issues.  On the other hand, Fiala, whose government lately survived no-confidence vote, is blaming pro-Russian for instigating this protest.
