Recently, the EU court has largely upheld the ruling against Google regarding the anti-trust issue that the company was accused of in 2018. As per the final verdict, the European General Court has confirmed the European Commission's original ruling by reducing the fine, just slightly. Google was accused of imposing anti-competition contractual restrictions on the Android mobile device makers. The manufacturers were required to pre-install Google Search App and Chrome browser to be able to offer Google Play Store. They were not allowed to install forked version of android on the mobile devices.
