Tens of thousands of Czechs protest over rising inflation, 17.5% since 1993

On saturday, nearly over 70 thousand people thronged at Wenceslas Square in Prague, the Czech Republic to protest against the rising inflation and energy prices in the country. The protesters are demanding the government to control gas and electricity prices and ensure direct contracts with gas suppliers including Russia. They also opposed European Union and NATO, while voicing that Czech must be neutral militarily. The protesters demanded that the Prime Minister Petr Fiala must resign from the post, condemning his coalition government for its western-oriented policies and number of other issues.  On the other hand, Fiala, whose government lately survived no-confidence vote, is blaming pro-Russian for instigating this protest.
