Unification Church accepts taking huge donation from Shinzo Abe's murderer's mother

Unification Church, that came into limelight after the murder of the former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, has accepted that it took a huge donation from the suspect's mother. The suspect had cited the reason for assassinating the former PM as latter's connection with the church.

The suspect blamed the church for his bankruptcy due to his mother donating all their savings along with life insurance and real estate. She had donated around US$ 700,000. Although, the church explained that it had later returned half of the amount at the request of suspect's uncle.

The church is now planning to reform its donation policy to ensure that no one is forced to make any donation. It is believed that over half of the lawmakers of ruling Liberal Democratic party in Japan had ties with Unification Church, which might have influenced the decision making at national level. The party has been in power for the most part of the post war period.

Abe was assassinated in July this year. He was the longest serving political figure in the country. The government has planned a state funeral for him in September, which is being challenged by Japanese people. Hundreds of protesters are demanding to cancel the state funeral as they believe that Abe's policies were pro-war.

Such state funerals are reserved for emperors in the country. If the government proceeds with the plan despite the opposition from the citizens, it is estimated to cost around US$ 12 million with other hidden expenses.

Canada – safe haven for criminals & terrorists

When a country deliberately spoils its relations with another, it also turns a blind eye to wrongdoers taking advantage of the situation. Canada, under the leadership of PM Justin Trudeau, has been burning its bridges by constantly targeting India, when the entire world sees the latter as a peace-loving nation with great business opportunities. PM Trudeau has constantly made baseless remarks against India on different issues including wrong allegations stating Indian government’s involvement in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a pro-Khalistani. With increasing crime rate, Canada is slowly becoming a breeding ground for terrorist groups, gangs and local criminals. India released a long list of individuals, suspected to have links with gangs operating out of Canada, and also offered a dossier. However, Canada ignored all of these without any action as the country was busy maligning India’s global reputation. Canada has openly supported Khalistan movement by showing its support to
