Queen Elizabeth II under medical supervision


Queen Elizabeth II, has been put under medical supervision due to the growing health concerns. She is in her Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, where she had gone for her summer break in July. All her children and grandchildren either have arrived or are on the way to be with her.

"Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision," says the statement put out by Buckingham Palace, which is quite unusual. The statement further adds, "The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral."

The unexpected statements about Queen's health, who is 96 years old now, coming from Buckingham palace is definitely a matter of concern as these things are always kept private.  

Recently, she appointed Ms Liz Truss as the new prime minister of the UK and was seen smiling while photographed. She always appoints new PM in Buckingham Palace in London, but this time it was done in Balmoral. She also cancelled the virtual meeting of the Privy Council, last minute after her doctors advised her to rest. It is a clear indication that her health is quite fragile. There are also rumours about her fall.

Ms Truss tweeted, "The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime." Further adding, she said, "My thoughts - and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom - are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time."

Interrupting the parliament, in the House of Commons, Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle, conveyed the announcement, "I know I speak on behalf of the entire House when I say that we send our best wishes to Her Majesty the Queen, and that she and the royal family are in our thoughts and prayers at this moment." 

Leader of the Labour Party, Keir Starmer, tweeted, "My thoughts are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time, and I join everyone across the United Kingdom in hoping for her recovery."

The news of her deteriorating health has been in circulation for quite some time now. The 96-years-old Monarch, who has reigned the UK for 70 years so far, has been reported to be suffering due to her old age mobility issues and frail health restricting her travels.

Fed Ex Chairman, two other economists win Nobel prize for research on banks and financial crisis
