Imran Khan, former prime minster and famous cricketer of Pakistan, was attacked during his rally against the current government today in Wazirabad. He was hit by bullets on both his feet as his caravan approached the reception camp. There was a indiscriminate firing that led to injuring nine people, including Khan, of which one has been declared dead. The attackers were nabbed by the Khan's political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers. Police have arrested two suspects so far. Khan was shifted to the hospital in Lahore and has been confirmed out of danger. Among injured were his close aides and a manager. The firing happened near his vehicle at the march which was moving towards Islamabad. I condemn the incident of firing on PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the strongest words.
