India's twin towers, taller than Qutub Minar demolished in 10 seconds, Mukesh Ambani's son buys Dubai's most expensive mansion
The famous Supertech twin towers of Noida were brought down to ground in no time using over 3,700kg explosives.
The Supreme Court of India, considering these constructions in violation of norms, ordered the demolition.
The twin towers were demolished within 10 seconds by Edifice Engineering's team, with the help of South Africa's Jet Demolitions.
Demolition did not cause any damage to other parts of the Supertech Emerald Court Society in which the towers were located.
Supertech Ltd has incurred a loss of about Rs 500 crore, as per its Chairman.
The loss includes cost of land and construction, fees paid to authorities, bank's interest and 12% interest paid back to the buyers.
Cost of demolition, around INR 17.5 crore, was also paid by Supertech.

If the media reports have to be believed, Mukesh Ambani's Reliance industries Ltd. has purchased a beach-side villa in Dubai for a whopping price of $80 million.
The property has been purchased for Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani and one of the three heirs of over $93.3 billion empire (the figure as per Bloomberg Billionaires Index). Located at Palm Jumeirah,this residential property deal is the biggest in Dubai so far.
The local media reported that the 10 bedroom mansion has indoor and outdoor pools and a private spa.
